Ingedients for Doodh Phara



  • Milk - 1/2 liter
  • Rice flour - 1 Cup(100 gram)
  • Water - 1 Cup(100 ml) 
  • Sugar  - 1/2 Cup (75 gram)
  • cardamom - 5-6(Crushed)
  • Pistachio - 5-6(Chopped) 
  • Few strings of Saffron


Steaming Process & kneading Dough



  • For Dough Preparation need to warm water
  • Take water in Kadai/Pan
  • Once Water start boiling - Add Rice flour 
  • Mix well
  • Turn off the flame 
  • Cover and keep this mixture 2-3 min so that it steamed well
  • After 2-3 min - open the lid
  • Place this into plate
  • knead that mixture & make soft dough
  • Dough is ready to prepare Farra - lets make Farra


Making Farra (Phara)



  • Take small lumps
  • Roll this lumps in Palm & give the shape of Farra
  • Farra is ready - Prepare another Farra in same Manner
  • All Farras are ready - Let's heat the milk


Making Doodh Phara



  • Add Milk in a Pan 
  • Once Milk start Boiling - Add Sugar
  • So that Sugar mix well with milk 
  • & Once we add farra it will be sweeten till inside
  • let's place all farra's in that
  • Cook in a medium flame
  • stir intermittently
  • After 5-6 min - Farra's is cooked with milk 
  • Add Cardamom 
  • Turn off the Flame
  • Once Doodh Farra Cool down - take them out
  • Ready to serve


Serving & Platting



  • Garnish Doodh phara with Pista & Saffron(Kesar) & Serve
